COOPER LIVINGSTON -- Funeral services for Lillian Frances "Boots" Acuff Puckett Cooper, 91, of Bay City will be held at 2 p.m. 11, 2014, in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, with Bro. Interment will follow in Peebles Cemetery in Livingston. Her father died when Boots was barely six weeks old.
She attended school in Goodrich and graduated from there.
In May of 2010 she returned home to Livingston and was cared for by the staff at The Gardens until she relocated to Bay City on April 15, 2014, to be near her caregivers there. In the years that she spent back home in Texas, she and her nephew Bill (always Billy to her) enjoyed reliving the stories of her growing up and taking care of her younger siblings, adventures with friends and Grandma Henderson. During her years at The Gardens she especially treasured visits from her nephews Joe Henry Smith and Wallace (Babe Ray) Atchley.Boots was baptized in the Baptist Church at an early age and served in various capacities for many years.She was known for her devotion to her church; her friend Jeannine Wood became as close as another sister and continued to show her love and support through visits and always checking by phone. Snook Sr., 91, of Livingston were held Wednesday, Dec. 28, 1923 in Palestine, to Bert Norwood Snook and Frances Theresa (Damon) Snook, and died Dec. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lucile Snook; parents; son, Jay V.He was preceded in death by wife of 57 years, Wanda Jackson; father, RW Jackson; mother, Tillie Jackson and sister, Jaquelyn Jack-son Kitchings. He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Frances May; his parents, Ernest May and Tommie May; his brother, Bill Jo May and his grandson, Brian Wood. 4, 2014, in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, with Bro. Snook Jr.; granddaughter, Chelsea Ross; brothers, J. Wiggins, Odell Wiggins and Gordon Wayne Wiggins and stepfather, George Mc Nab. EDWARDS DIBOLL – James Albert Edwards was born on Dec.Survivors include daughters, Nancy Fisher, Judy Jackson and partner Coye Prince and Amy Jackson and Paul Herman; son, Clay Jackson; grandchildren, Wayne, Carol and Stephanie Fisher and Kendall and Bailey Jackson, great-grandchildren, Shawn and Spencer Fisher; multiple nieces and cousins and longtime family friend, Maggie Johnson. He is survived by his sister, El Louise Price; daughters, Penny Mitchell and Jo and the Rev. She is survived by her devoted husband of 72 years, JV Snook; son and daughter-in-law, Tommy Ray and Donna Snook; daughter-in-law, Patricia Snook; grandson, Kevin Snook; granddaughter and husband, Wendy Ross and Mack; grandson and wife, Tommy Snook Jr. Findley of Livingston; granddaughter, Kricie Robles; grandsons, Dustin Findley, Jeremy Findley and Cameron Palmer; five great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. 16, 1930 in Memphis, Tenn., to Lucious and Ada Edwards, and died peacefully on Nov. Army and served as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne during the Korean conflict.
